STA Timber Technical Committee was set up in May 2003 to service its members and the trade. The objective of this committee is to provide technical and research support to members. Through the establishment of Singapore Timber Trade Procedure (STTP) this committee will help the trade by monitoring trade practice and to settle trade disputes through concilitation and arbitration.

With a permanent Panel of Timber Experts and Arbitrators STA provides verification services (in-house or field trips) to ascertain that your timber meets specifications. We also provide experts advice on timber species, timber grading, timber treatment and timber moisture content. STA certificates will be provided for technical services.
